all is fair in love and provo.

being single sucks. there is no way to sugar coat that, or make it sound not so "desperate provo girl" but the truth is, that's exactly what i am.
does this make me proud? no. do i want people to realize this about me? no.
but is it about time i finally fess up? yes.
we all come to p-town with different goals, to graduate with a degree, not fail American Heritage,  become really good at haircuts... whatever. but there is one thing we all have in common, no matter how hard we try to deny it.
it's the one of the only reasons we come to Provo for school. there are a million cosmetology schools, universities, and UVU-esque institutions all over the country that would be more convenient, more exciting, and have better weather.
we're here to get hitched.
disagree all you want, but i see right through you. see you might not have realized it right off the bat, but somewhere in your subconscious you knew this was your best bet for love. Provo is like one big episode of the Bachelor Pad. except more pretty women and not as many pretty men. and we don't get to all live in one big mansion and swim and drink all day and night, and then make out with every person we see. (that last part is debatable) okay so maybe it's nothing like the Bachelor Pad, so just disregard that last spiel.
i never used to be this relationship crazed girl who bases self worth off of her current dating situation. i blame that on provo, and all the dang happily married people here.
the fact of the matter is, i don't think it's marriage that we all crave, it's companionship.
is it asking too much just to have someone there for me? someone to hang out with when i had a bad day, vent to when Dayna and Stevi aren't home, and someone to laugh at my jokes no matter how stupid they are. i mean, i guess a dog would work. but Alpine doesn't allow those.
that's all.
