writers block.

black friday is the best invention in the history of inventions.
i love the color black and and i love fridays, so putting them together is an unbeatable combination that i wish i would have come up with on my own. i have heard stories about the early morning, freezing lines, and angry moms, so i was a little apprehensive when dayna and i decided to take part in the festivities this year. and boy, it didn't disappoint! Dayna picked me up at 3:00 a.m. and we hit the road to target. we completely cut in line once the doors were opened, so we got in right away regardless of the fact that people had been waiting outside in the cold for hours. i loved every second of it. we tore through the store like our lives depended on it, and then got in line as soon as we realized that it was already wrapped around the store. and thank goodness we had to wait so long in line because we hadn't even stopped to look at everything i had in our arms till then! it's like someone had possessed me, and i grabbed everything in that store just because it was on sale. i carried around this ugly green robe the whole time just because i saw it was on sale for cheap. i'm ridiculous. dayna ended up getting a digital camera, a 6 ft. fake tree for our apartment (colorado fir with twinkle lights), some dish towels, and make up sponges for around $100! such a steal. and i got a tinkerbell dvd, tinkerbell dress up costume, 8 disney princess dolls (all the princesses in one box!), an eyelash curler, and decorations for our tree for only $80!! it was like a dream come true! it was so fast pace and adrenaline rushing.
the marriage of competition and shopping is one that will stand the test of time, no matter how high the divorce rate gets.

being home has never felt better than this past week. i don't even realize how much i miss it until i come back. it's true that you don't know what you have until it's gone. i am so lucky to have such a great and supportive family, no matter how dysfunctional i used to think we were. i didn't always have the highest of opinion of the people that i should love the most and now that completely embarrasses me. my parents and little brother and sister are the most lovable, hilarious, and most perfect support group for me. i love my mom. i am so blessed.

i absolutely despise being cold. what is the point? i don't understand why we need to freeze our butts off for half of the year. there is no benefit. you can snowboard on fake snow, i've done it before. technically i was 8 and i was skiing for an add in a Disney catalog, but it was in the middle of the summer, i was in a winnie the pooh snow suit, and the crew was spraying fake snow all over the set on some hill in southern california in their shorts and t shirts to make it look snowy. i think they were on to something.

i wish i could be young forever. i'm glad that i am constantly progressing and learning and growing, but being around my little sister makes me really wish that i would have appreciated being little more. i know that when she unwraps her tinkerbell dvd, costume, and disney princess barbies, she's going to think that it is the most amazing gift she's ever recieved. it won't matter to her that she already has a million dress up clothes and barbies, she's just going to be excited that santa came. i love that. i love her innocence and humility about every aspect of life. i know i'm still young and have great potential, but i need to slow down life a little bit. enjoy where i'm at.

i have a bright future and i need to stop procrastinating. i know this completely contradicts everything i just wrote about staying young, but i'm the queen of doing nothing. i have set my goal so high that if i'm ever going to accomplish them i need to start working my butt off (literally) now. i'm tired of just seeing opportunities pass me by. i know what i want, and i get what i want. it's time to make it happen.

i love dayna jay rasmussen with all of my heart.  she is the best friend a girl could ask for and i can't even explain how much i love her. she has been there for me through it all, and she still goes out into public with me. she is the most beautiful, intelligent, hilarious, sincere, loyal, and perfect human i've ever met. i am being 120% honest when i don't think i would have made it through these past 2 years without her. she's my sanity when i'm going crazy and she's my entertainment when i'm numb. i haven't been the easiest person to live with the past little bit, yet she hasn't faltered in the slightest. i owe her so much more than i ever could repay. chase is a lucky man.

i'm bored with being single. i will admit that i'm much more at peace with it than i have been the last couple YEARS, but i'm just bored with it now. i don't know if it's me realizing that i'm 19 and have absolutely no idea what being in a well functioning relationship, or the fact that d child is so happy being in love, but somethings gotta give. i'm bored of being the single girl with nothing tying me down. i think i'm just bored with life. that probably sounds stupid since i have been blessed with so many great opportunities, but my life is feeling very monotonous. something, or should i say someone, needs to come and shake things up a bit. boring isn't a good color on me.

that's all.
